A 21-year-old Idahoan (heh heh) has been arrested after a misguided attempt to assassinate President Obama.  You may recall that a man fired two shots through an exterior window of the White House from Constitution Avenue, several yards (and one big lawn) away.  Nevermind that there’s bulletproof glass behind those windows—or that the President wasn’t even in the country.  Talk about a failed assassination attempt. #presidentialassassinationfail

Anyways, it seems that the man was picked up outside of Pittsburgh, after leaving his gun and getaway car over by a bridge outside of the capital.  Hardly the world’s smartest hitman.  Alas, USA Today (which seems to be more right-wing than I remembered) has people calling for him to be deported back to Idaho, and associating him with the Occupy Wall Street movement…

Personally, I’d put the ratio of Americans who want to shoot the President at closer to 50 per cent—and that’s only in New Hampshire!
