Just got the new edition of L’actualité, a Quebec news magazine that’s celebrating its 35th anniversary.  A couple of quotes written in said mag in the 80′s seem quite brilliant in retrospect:

“If the NDP really wants to consolidate its positions, it absolutely needs to find a charismatic leader.” – Jacques Parizeau, 1985

“You must go see Céline Dion before other countries go crazy for her.” – André Ducharme, 1988

Full credit must go to Parizeau for his statement on the NDP.  As for Céline Dion?  Those other countries can have her!
