La Presse is reporting that nearly half of French women (46 per cent) surveyed by dating site CasualDating.fr prefer to be “slightly drunk” while making love.  By contrast, 61 per cent of Frenchmen prefer to stay sober.  I guess their female counterparts must be better looking than they are, n’est-ce pas?  That said, when it came to which country had the best female lovers in the international survey, the French came in third behind Brazilians and Italians.

Incidentally, of the 11 countries whose residents participated in the poll, the French were most likely to hit the sack with someone they just met, though only 17 per cent said they prefer one-night stands.  Second-most likely were the Austrians, who, I suppose still have an ingrained fetish for being taken by force.

All in all, 5,670 people from France, Belgium, Austria, Germany, Italy, Holland, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Brazil took part in the online survey last August.  The results were just announced today, apparently—I’ve yet to see any other media reports (as of 12 pm).
