Wolfgang Van Halen, the 21-year-old bassist who was born into the rock band of the same (last) name, took to Twitter last night after he was snubbed by British boy band One Direction in a Birmingham hotel room.  “Fun fact: Was just insulted by that shitty boy band #OneDirection in the lobby of our hotel this morning! Greetings Birmingham!” he tweeted, followed by the witty remark “They must call themselves that because all of their hair points in #OneDirection.”  Cue the tweets from teenage girls who’ve never heard of the legendary L.A. rockers…

To date, while such outstanding journalistic outlets as E! Online are reporting on this “Band Feud Alert,” they have yet to get to the bottom of the story, although apparently the poptarts also dissed Creed guitarist Eric Friedman and drummer Garrett Whitlock.  And suddenly, I find myself with a new respect for British boy band One Direction.
