Although megababe Greek triple jumper Voula Papachristou got kicked off her Olympic team for her far-right views, that doesn’t mean there aren’t some fine-looking females left in this competition. As I sit my fat ass on the couch to watch the Games, here are a few female athletes that caught my eye. Hey, and they happen to be pretty good at sports, too.
Catalina Ponor

In a sport dominated by teenage girls, Romanian gymnast Catalina Ponor is a grown woman–and what a woman, too! The 24-year-old started off young, winning three gold medals in Athens in 2004 at the age of 16 and had left the sport behind by 2007, retiring due to injuries. But a comeback that began last year led to her earning a spot on the Romanian squad, where she looks awfully fine in a leotard. I know I was rooting for her in today’s gymnastics action. And if you’re wondering why I’m watching women’s gymnastics, well, take a look at this slideshow of Ponor and former Romanian teammate Silvia Stroescu on the beach in the Virgin Islands. Her competition outfit just leaves a little bit more to the imagination…
Catalina is truly one of the most elegant and sophisticated gymnasts in the world today.
I am so crazy about her.
