Despite Mitt Romney’s many stumbles while in London for the opening of the 2012 Olympics, British tabloid The Daily Mirror has made the unprecedented move of declaring him the president of the United States in its headline “#romneyshambles: US president urged to go home after causing offence again.” Even after a couple comments on the story, the web editors have yet to change the title of this piece, leading one to believe that they’re sticking with their bold prediction. Well, either that, or they’ve committed a gaffe that’s right up there with looking out the backside of 10 Downing Street—though not nearly as bad as what Romney wrote about England in his book a couple years back.
I have saved the screen grab below for posterity, in case the editors ever decide to come to their senses.
(I wonder who the Mirror has named as his VP?)
