With so many Flames games on national TV this month, I decided to weigh in with some predictions a couple weeks back. So far, I’m only 1-for-3, but I actually had ‘em losing to Vancouver and San Jose–and they won! So I can’t be too disappointed with that.
Alas, while it’s not on national TV, I can still tune into tonite’s Flames-Leafs game on Sportsnet Ontario. Here’s what I had to say about it back on the 3rd:
Okay, you didn’t think I’d go without mentioning the Flames-Leafs game, did you? I know from first-hand experience that the Flames don’t always fare well in Toronto, having attended a few of those games, including the 3-2 loss in October. However, I also know that the Leafs tend to blow in Cowtown, as evidenced by their 5-2 loss there last season, after which the Flames also won in a shootout at the ACC. That game was a lotta fun, heh heh… Alas, I foresee another lopsided loss for the Buds in this one. Flames 4, Leafs 1, bitches!
(I’m hoping I get this one right!)
UPDATE 11:37 PM: With the Flames leading 4-1 late in the third period, I was looking pretty smart until Jarome Iginla scored to make it 5-1 with a couple minutes remaining. Hey, I’m not complaining, though. My team hasn’t lost four in a row… Blow Leafs Blow!
