Spotted on Roblin Blvd in Winnipeg.
It’s one thing to spray-paint your message on a sign somewhere, but quite another to break the locks on an electronic traffic sign and change the message to a not-so-subtle reminder to watch your speed. According to the National Post, another sign was altered to “a ribald rhyme urging women to show a little skin in honour of the Jets.” Though I’ve never seen nor heard the word “ribald” before, I think I can figure out what it means. Remember those chants from the Red Mile back in the day, Flames fans?

UPDATE 6:30 PM: You didn’t think I’d really rest until I found the sign with the ribald rhyme, did you? Turns out, there were two of them, but this friendly poster at Winnipeg Heights has combined them into one animated GIF. Very Red Mile, I must say, though that wasn’t my first guess.
Now, it would’ve been really funny if someone one-upped the sign hacker by adding a “C” to the second sign, then took a picture of his rear end with his pants around his ankles. Then again, JETS ARE BACK SHOW YOUR CRACK could certainly be misconstrued in the city of Winnipeg, I suppose…
