SEARCH TERM OF THE DAY: A tragic spelling mistake

I’ve gotta say that I’m impressed with the momentum this site has seen thus far, going from 32 daily page views to well over 100 in just two weeks.   In fact, at the time of me typing this, we’re just 10 gruesome page views away from 1,000.  I’d like to think that my scintillating writing skills are what draws people here, that my shit’s so fresh it’s been making the rounds on the interweb–but I’ve realized that a large portion of my traffic comes directly from Google.

I must say I’m impressed with WordPress and its cozy relationship with the granddaddy of all search engines, which shows that a brand-new blog can get such high rankings from their search results.  Even better is the fact that I’m able to track how many people visited this site via search engine versus links on other sites or of their own free will.  I can not only see how many people came here as the result of an online search, but which pages they visited and which terms they actually searched for.  On that note, it seems my two Storage Wars posts have gotten a lotta traffic.  Sorry folks, I love the show, but I’ve got no inside info on Darrell’s home invasion, Dave’s rumoured bankruptcy or pictures of Brandi’s feet.  (Yes, people have actually searched for all of the aforementioned and came here.)

In the tradition of my Comment of the Day (which only runs on weekdays, in case you haven’t noticed), I’ve decided to showcase the odd search term that gave me a good laugh.  Any particular reason why I’ve started doing this today?  Perhaps…

For the record, the only time you’ll see September 11 on my site is in the timestamp of any posts I make today.  Oh, and you’re spelling it wrong.  It’s U before E, ya dummies!

UPDATE 12:50 PM: The site is now at 1,005 views.  I think I will crack open a beer in celebration. :)
